A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\" She was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen, but she was timid. She entered the play yard with soft body language. She was approached by two dogs and exchanged soft greetings with them both. After the dogs broke away, she began to roam the yard and explore. She was tolerant of dogs trailing her to sniff her. She continued to roam the yard and exchange soft greetings with the other dogs. She engaged in gentle/dainty play with a male shepherd. After their play, the male shepherd mounted her. She tolerated this, offering no corrections and the handlers had to steer the male dog away for her. She remained social for the rest of her time in the yard. She did not approach the handlers in the yard and only interacted with the other dogs. She is social with the other dogs and prefers a gentle/dainty play style. See handling assessment for further stipulations. The handler knelt and called to her, but she did not approach. The handler approached her and picked up her leash. She allowed the handler to pet her head with no reaction. When the handler checked her teeth, she tumed her head away. She allowed the handler to check her ears with no reaction. When the handler touched any of her paws, she would pull them away. She allowed the handler to touch her tail with no reaction. She displayed no negative or conceming behavior toward the handler, but she is timid and does best with a go-slow approach. She was retumed to her kennel without issue. Due to her need for a slower approach and some mild handling sensitivities, she would likely do best in an adult only home or with older respectful kids.
