The collar was easily clasped around his neck without issue. He greeted a female pit bull with soft eyes and a neutral tail wag. Without reason, he became barrier reactive, growing and snapping at her through the fence. A handler walked him into the yard on a long, loose leash. He appeared loose as he approached a calm, female pit bull. He exchanged a soft greeting with her, tolerating her as she sniffed his body. His demeanor changed, he hovered over her, and neck pressed her. Without provocation, he lunged with an open mouth at the back of her neck. The handler was able to pull him back before he made contact. The handler walked him around the yard for a few moments after. He became anxious and lightly paced briefly. Once he calmed down, a calm male pit bull was brought up to greet him. Max instantly began neck pressing the pit bull. Max froze and then lunged at him with an open mouth. He was unable to make contact as the handler pulled him back. Max was removed from the yard at this time. He was relaxed with soft eyes as the handler looked in his ears, viewed his teeth, held his front paws, and held his tail. He was wary of his rear paws being held and closed his mouth while side eyeing the handler. Once his paw was released, he relaxed and resumed seeking affection.
