Hannah A5788101 greeted the runner with a tense body, her eyes were soft, her tail was tucked, she low growled and she slowly walked over to sniff her. She retrieved to the back of the kennel when the runner attempted to leash her, the runner partially stepped in to place the leash on her head. She walked nervously through the kennels, she moderately pulled on leash. In the catch pen when she was introduced to the dogs her body was low, her eyes were soft but concerned, her tail was low with no wag, her ears were alert and her mouth was closed. The runner went slow during collaring and leashing. She entered the yard and was nervous of the greetings with the dogs. She explored her environmental surroundings and roamed quietly. When the dogs hovered around her, she chased one away (appropriate correction). She became interested in one of the female pit bulls that entered the yard, she jumped on her and appeared to want to play, the pit bull corrected her and Hannah growled and chased her but stopped as soon as the handler verbally corrected her. Overall, Hannah was selective of the dogs and does not have a playstyle at this time. She allowed the handler to pet her everywhere, she was slightly nervous but remained soft and was tolerant. The more the handler coaxed her the softer she would become, she eventually leaned against the handler (when she pet her head), her eyes were soft, her body was neutral, her tail was low with a soft wag and her ears were neutral. Overall, Hannah was tolerant of being pet, she will require slow introductions, confidence building, and continued socialization. Behaviorally ok for public adoption, large calm dogs required, no small dogs with a Known History of Aggression form.
