He was relaxed with a neutral tail wag as the runner easily clasped the collar around his neck. He was wary of the dogs through the fence, lowering his body with concemed eyes. He slowly and timidly entered the yard. He calmly explored the perimeter, showing no interest in engaging the other dogs. A male shepherd came up calmly. Chase leaned away with wide eyes and then exposed his teeth, not comfortable with his presence. As the male shepherd walked away, Chase took two steps after the shepherd and nipped him on his hip and then ran away. He was then approached by a calm, male pit bull. He tolerated the pit bull sniffing his body but not his face. He exposed his teeth and backed away. He kept to himself for most of his time in the yard. He briefly checked in with the handlers on a few occasions to sniff their hands and a quick head rub but kept to himself other than that. He was never comfortable around energetic dogs and would snap at them each time he approached. He needs socialization and some confidence building.
