He jumped on the runner and excitedly barked at the dogs in the yard. He would not remain still causing the runner to struggle with placing the collar around his neck. He excitedly entered the yard and ran up to a group. He was social and friendly but obnoxious as he lingered near their face. He play bowed and tapped his front feet trying to entice a male shepherd for play. The two briefly chased around the yard but Poppa was just a little too energetic for the shepherd and he stopped playing. Poppa began approaching the handlers. He jumped on them often to seek affection and attention. He will need basic manners training. He may also have some separation anxiety as each time the runner left for another dog, he would run up to the catch pen and begin whining and pawing at the fence. He epeated this each time she walked away. He also enjoyed playing in the sprinkler set up in the yard, running through it and nouthing the streams of water. He approached a newly introduced female shepherd who did not appreciate his energy. As he quick ran up to her, she snapped at him and took one step towards him snapping again. He flinched and jumped backwards. retreating from her while crying. He was not interested in confrontation. He remained playful and social for the rest of his time in the yard. He will need some basic manners training and continued socialization. BEHAVIORALLY OK FOR PUBLIC ADOPTION, LARGE DOGS OK, HIGH ENERGY
