A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behaviormay change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\" He was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen. He entered the play yard with soft body language. He bypassed the other dogs and began to roam the yard to explore. He was tolerant of dogs trailing him to sniff him. After exploring the yard for a bit, he began to approach the other dogs and exchange soft greetings. A fernale shepherd offered him a play bow, and they engaged in gentle/dainty play. He remained playful and social for the rest of his time in the yard, but he played in a push/pull play style. He can be pushy at times in his attempts to entice dogs into play. He would approach the handlers and seek affection. He also climbed into the pool and enjoyed some time in there. Loki is social with the other dogs and prefers a push/pull play style. The runner opened the gate and Loki attempted to door dash. The runner was able to block him and placed the leash over his head without issue. He pulled moderately on leash, straight ahead while walking to the catch pen. He exchanged good greetings with the dogs through the fence as he entered the pen. He remained excited, jumping and spinning in place, causing the runner to struggle placing the collar around his neck. He entered the yard and spent a few moments acclimating and kept to himself. A female shepherd came up to him playfully. The two chased around the yard for a few minutes. Loki was moderately physical with his play and liked to paw at the shepherd. When his play became too rough for her, she would stop and snap at hun. Loki respected the corrections and changed his chase play to accommodate her. He was also playful with a young male Doberman who came into the yard. He was mouthy with his play, respecting several corrections from the Doberman as the two chased together. Loki solicited affection from the handlers on several occasions. He was very mouthy as he jumped on the handler, lightly nipping at his hands and arms. He would also jump up and nip at the handler's shirt sleeve. Lokiremained playful and friendly for the rest of his stay in the yard.
