At only 3 weeks old, the puppies remain highly dependent on their mother. Puppies of this age are particularly susceptible to illness and stress, and the shelter environment is not ideal for raising a young litter. Prompt placement of Javelina and her puppies into a foster or rescue environment is essential to provide a quiet, stable setting that supports their continued growth, health, and overall well-being.
