Zarko A5686767 (Altered) was initially at the front of the kennel with a relaxed demeanor but became reactive toward a dog that was being walked by. Once the other dog was out of sight, Zarko settled and allowed himself to be retrieved with ease. He proceeded to make his way to the catch pen with a light pull on the leash while bypassing his neighboring kennels. Once inside the catch pen, Zarko received a collar and leash without issue. He was then allowed into the yard, where he ignored the dogs who came forward to greet him, preferring to explore the environment. Zarko exhibited a slightly tense posture and growled to signal his need for personal space when other dogs approached him. For the rest of the session, he kept to himself, showing no interest in the other dogs. Once the session concluded, he was returned to his kennel without incident. Due to his defensive response, Zarko could benefit from a home with no other dogs to prevent potential conflict, though he may be able to coexist with a companion that is respectful of his boundaries.
