Sandy is an adoptable female Rottweiler looking for a home at San Antonio Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas. She is a young adult and medium in size. She is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list and today is the last day, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Sandy, or even sharing her story, could save a life before it's too late.

She displays reactivity toward me by barking and growling where she retreats with a tense body, wide eyes and a tucked tail. She displays sociability with me by coming over for treats offered to her on ground and through barrier which she takes with same body language. She communicates for space as I attempt to leash her by barking and growling with bared teeth while retreating. She is given space. Upon re-approach, she continues to display reactivity where she ceases reaction for treats offered to her with a tense body, wide eyes and a tucked tail. She displays sociability with other handler by coming over for treats offered by hand with same body language. She is leashed and walked out of kennel following a treat trail where she walks slowly through building. Outside she pulls on leash and displays sociability with all handlers by allowing them to greet her with a tense body, wide eyes, pinned ears and a tucked tail where she is hyper-vigilant of surroundings.
