STAFF OBSERVATIONS 08/06/26 INTAKE: go slow, was nervous walking on leash, low growl when attempted to pet, walked into sally port kennel easily. 08/11/26 Dog appears to be fearful/ unsocial in shelter environment. Dog is stiff in kennel with tail flagged and alarm barking throughout observation. 08/13/26 Dog participated in playgroup today. Dog was observed giving tense greetings and presenting awkward behaviors with other dogs in playgroup. After time to acclimate, dog was observed giving appropriate greetings and corrections. 08/20/26 15:21 Easy to leash. Dog did not pull on leash to play-yard. In play-yard, dog did not solicit affection from handler, but dropped ball at handler's feet, chased ball after handler threw it, and repeated the process for about 15 minutes. Dog walked past multiple working cats and did not react. Re-kenneled with no issues.
