Edison is an adoptable male Siberian Husky looking for a home at BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. He is fully grown and medium in size. Located At: BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions Description: My name is Edison. I am a male, black and white Siberian Husky mix. Age: The shelter staff think I am about 4 years old. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 24, 2026. I am in kennel DA22. Weight: Only 24.8 lbs | BCS 2/9 ' severely underweight Intake Date: 8/24/2026 ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Edison arrived malnourished, extremely thin and weak, weighing only 24.8 lbs with a body condition score of 2/9. He is lethargic with a decreased appetite and was reported to have so little strength that he did not attempt to stand when leashed. He refused dry food and ate only a few bites of wet food. Edison tested HIGH POSITIVE for heartworms and has whipworms causing watery diarrhea. He is being treated with Panacur, with repeat treatments planned in 3 weeks and again in 3 months. Because of his weakness, lethargy and poor appetite, he is receiving supportive care including subcutaneous fluids (LRS) and Cerenia for 2 days. ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: There are no behavior evaluations provided yet.
