Kyle

Kyle is an adoptable male Pit Bull Terrier looking for a home at San Antonio Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas. He is fully grown and medium in size. He is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list with just one day left, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Kyle, or even sharing his story, could save a life before it's too late.

Evaluation Notes: Play Group Dog displays sociability with all handlers by coming over to greet with a loose body and a low tail and is easy to leash and walk outside. He is stressed entering yard by walking in slowly with a tense body, wide eyes, pinned ears and a tucked tail where he allows dogs to greet him. He retreats into yard with same body language where he is most interested in sniffing and eliminating in yard independently. He is avoidant of interactions with other dogs by communicating appropriately for space and retreating away from them with a tense body, wide eyes, pinned ears and a tucked tail. He escalates communications by retreating quickly from approaching dogs as they attempt to greet while vocalizing and snapping with a tense body, wide eyes, pinned ears, raised hackles and a tucked tail. He is not able to adjust and is easy to return to kennel.
