Before coming to El Paso Animal Services, her owner was experiencing homelessness, and through it all, Pinky remained a loyal companion. Since then, he's overcome even more, including surviving distemper - a testament to just how resilient he is. Today, Pinky is ready for a new beginning. He's the kind of dog who doesn't need to be the center of attention. He enjoys leisurely walks, loves stretching out in the grass, and is happiest simply being near his person. Volunteers describe him as calm, well-mannered, and the kind of dog you can take just about anywhere. He walks beautifully on a leash (some even joke he ends up walking you), is potty trained, and prefers belly rubs and head scratches over squeaky toys. Pinky gets along well with people and has done well meeting other dogs, especially in smaller groups where she feels more comfortable. He's gentle, observant, and happy to follow your lead wherever the day takes you. After everything he's been through, Pinky just needs a soft place to rest, a kind hand to pet him, and someone who will never let him wonder where home is again.
