Denver is an adoptable male Siberian Husky looking for a home at El Paso Animal Services in El Paso, Texas. He is fully grown and large in size. Denver has already been through more than any senior dog should have to. When he arrived at our shelter, he was covered in ticks and clearly needed help. Our medical team has been caring for him and treating him for Ehrlichia, and while his recovery has been slow and steady, we're starting to see small improvements. Through it all, Denver has remained the sweet, gentle, good boy that he is. He's a geriatric dog who should be spending his days somewhere quiet and comfortable, surrounded by people who love him. Instead, he's spending his golden years in a shelter kennel, trying to recover while surrounded by unfamiliar sights, sounds, and stress. That's why Denver is now on our at-risk list. All he needs is someone who will give him a soft place to sleep, a little patience, and the comfort of knowing that he doesn't have to face the next chapter alone. Denver has already spent enough time fighting to feel better. Now we'd love to see him spend the rest of his days simply being loved.
