She arrived unsteady in her rear legs with hindlimb lameness and a suspected pelvic injury. X-rays on 8/28 revealed: ' Pubic and ischial symphysis fractures ' Possible fractures of both acetabula/hip sockets ' Radiologist review and an orthopedic consultation are needed The shelter notes that Cassie may do well with 6'8 weeks of strict cage rest, depending on specialist review. She is receiving Carprofen 75 mg once daily for 7 days for pain/inflammation. She is Heartworm NEGATIVE and has received DA2PP, Bordetella and Rabies vaccines, deworming, Pyrantel and Advantage Multi. ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: There are no concerning behavior notes provided for Cassie.
