Nina A5796182 (Altered) stood at the front of the kennel observing the runner, anxiously licking her lips upon arrival. She began to show excitement as the runner opened the kennel door, allowing herself to be leashed with ease. Nina exited the kennel on her own and playfully jumped on the runner before proceeding to lead the way to the catch pen, bypassing her neighboring kennels. Once inside the catch pen, she continued to seek affection from the runner during collar and leash placement. Nina was then allowed into the yard, where she exchanged greetings with the other dogs, exhibiting a relaxed posture during the interactions. Following the interactions, she approached and greeted the handlers, jumping on them energetically as she solicited petting. Corrections helped to manage her impulsive behavior, as she repeatedly jumped on the handlers. She eventually moved on to join a group of dogs, comfortably following them around the yard without engaging in direct play with them. For the remainder of the session, Nina maintained a social demeanor with everyone in the yard. Once the session concluded, she was returned to her kennel without issue. Nina could benefit from continued socialization in a yard setting with active dogs to help her further develop her social skills.
