A dog's behaviormay change based on suroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.\" He was easily collared by the runner in the catch pen, but he needs a go slow approach and can be head shy. He entered the play yard with soft body language. He was approached by two dogs and tolerated them sniffing him, but he was tense. After the dogs broke away, he began to roam the yard and explore. He began to approach the calm dogs and sniff them from behind. He continued to become wary and tense of higher energy dogs or dogs lingering in his face. He would do best with a very calm dog that will respect his space and boundaries. He approached a handler when called and allowed them to pet him, but he needs a go-slow approach. He can be wary of fastermovements. Due to his timid nature and need for a slower approach, he would likely do best in an adult only home or with older respectful kids. He exited his intenor kennel through his guillotine door creating space. The runner closed his guillotine door locking him outside. He stayed back away from the fence and had concemed eyes, alert ears, tail tucked, trembling and did not approach his kennel gate. The runner knelt down and tred to verbally coax him over to her but he did not approach her. She opened his kennel gate and approached him slowly, verbally reassuring him until she was able to loop leash him. As soon as the runner had the loop leash on him, he exited his kennel briskly, pulling hard and fast until they were past the other dogs. Once they were away from the kennels, he attempted to create space between himself and the runner while walking to the catch pen. Once at the catch pen, he was reluctant to go into the catch pen, but the runner was able to coax him through the catch pen gate. In the catch pen, he sat with his back against the wall next to the runner. He had an open mouth pant, neutral ears, soft eyes and he was licking his lips. He did not approached the play yard fence to greet the other dogs coming to greet him through the fence. When he was allowed to enter the play yard, the runner had to assist him into the yard by stepping in with him through the play yard gate. He had concemed eyes, low tail, neutral ears and froze at the gate as the other dogs approached to greet him. He ignored the other dogs tryig to exchange greetings with him and looked away from the other dogs avoiding eye contact by looking through the play yard fence towards the kennel buildings. After the initial greetings, he slowly began to explore the yard, keeping to himself. He was wary of the handlers in the yard and startled at their movements near him. He gave low growis to the other dogs as they attempted to trail or approach him. Available for public adoption with adults only required. No Other Dogs recommended
