Located At: BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions Description: My name is Madrid. I am a female, red and white Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix. Age: The shelter staff think I am about 2 years old. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Aug 27, 2026. I am in kennel DD22. Weight: 46 lbs Intake Date: 8/27/2026 Status: Rescue only ⸻ 📈MEDICAL NOTES: Madrid came into BARC as a stray in severe condition, moderately limping on her right front leg with swelling and several abrasions around her head and body. X-rays on 8/29 revealed a non-displaced fracture of the upper third of her right radius. Veterinarians noted that the fracture appears older and is already showing signs of healing. Her injuries are suspected to possibly be from being hit by a car. She also has contact dermatitis under her left front leg, which was clipped and cleaned. Madrid is receiving: ' Carprofen 75 mg once daily ' 10 days ' Cephalexin 500 mg twice daily ' 10 days She is also heartworm LOW POSITIVE. ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: Even while injured and hurting, Madrid has shown just how gentle she is. Her behavior note simply says: 'Very sweet, did not require muzzle to lift onto truck.' Her notes are limited as she's only been at the shelter for a couple of days.
