Intake Info: This dog owner surrendered to one of our officers who responded to a call about a manner of keeping. Doc A2009476, Julie A2009445 & Julie A2009446 were also owner surrendered at the same time and are currently here at the shelter. Our officer noted Blair was involved in a small altercation with another dog on scene. We scanned for a microchip & didn't located one, we call this handsome boy Blair. Medical: Blair is an approximately 8 year old neutered male dog who weighs 84lbs. Blair is UTD on vaccines & is heartworm positive. Out vet noted the following - Dog came easily out of kennel for tech, very strong and per tech could use a little leash training. This was a minimal physical exam due to strength of dog. No aggression shown. Coat is soiled. Adult neutered male dog; HS-5 (heartworm, hookworms, blunted ear tips, possible neuro signs; fly biting, may be attributing to FAS) Neuro; no abnormalities noted but very high energy, a lot of movement. Behaviors: Staff Notes: Did well for vet exam, allowed muzzle wrap and handling. Extremely reluctant to go back into cage, kept trying to dart out. No aggression displaying, just continued attempts to push past through the door. Super sweet boy loves the water & likes his chest being scratched. Very friendly & lovable. Request to Rescues: Blair A2343146 is a lovely GSD in need of urgent rescue. Blair is heartworm positive that will need to be treated. Blair was brought to the shelter with 3 other dogs who were surrendered on scene by their owner. Blair is a very affectionate boy who loves the water and being around people.
