I am a female, 42.00 lbs, black and tan Belgian Malinois. I have been at the shelter since Aug 26, 2026. I am an at risk animal. Please contact the shelter for more information. Medical - left radius and ulnar fracture - transverse, multiple broken teeth, right lower lip degloved. Needs an adopter or rescue. Adopters visit in person. STAFF OBSERVATIONS 09/01/26 10:04 Took dog out for media opportunity. Dog was extremely friendly, well-mannered, gentle demeanor, and walked well on leash (even with cast on). She preferred to stick to handler, and would solicit pets, even pawing when stopped for more. Walked back to shoreline medical kennel easily, and walked herself in. Per Protocol +Carprofen 100mg :1 tab. PO SID x 5 Days +Simbadol Inj. : SID x 3 days +Dr. Review 08/27/26 08:52 QAR. Lameness left front leg. Ate all food and drank water. Urine appears normal. No BM in kennel. No vomiting. Missing 404 and bottom incisors from 400 arcade, root from one incisor appears retained. Prescribed Simbadol 0.42 ml BID IM x 5 days per Dr. instruction. 08/27/26 12:00 reviewed RAD : suspected lower distal jaw fracture along with right lower canine P is limping in left front limb but mainly right front limb RAD was taken plan) sedation + RAD front limbs check oral cavity to evaluate the extent of injury around lower jaw 08/28/26 08:17 BAR, edu wnl, no bm. Limping LFL. 08/28/26 12:09 gave 0.38cc IV Ttdex from bottle 26-485 and 26-17, DVM examined mouth Tooth fragments were removed and Gum was sutured closed, Took 3 view rads of front limbs, Possible Fx of Radius and Ulna of LFL, Applied splint. Starting on Gaba PO BID x 10 days per protocol 500cc SQ LRS given 08/28/26 16:44 RAD) left radius and ulnar fracture - transverse. probably greenstick fx but almost through. no displacement. Tx) right lower jaw - lip avulsion, degloving wounds 404 403 402 already fractured -> removed roots as much as possible release the gun tissue from the bone debrided and trimmed the wound margin apposed the gum tissue using 4-0 PGCL simple interrupted and continuous - no tension splint on the left front limb plan) splint change in 7 days and then, every 7-10 days 08/29/26 09:54 bar, very sweet, yes to e/d, but no eating this morning. yes to urine, no bm seen, no vomit seen. 8/30/26 08:13 ACT took patient outside for walk. urine and normal bm reported. appears to have ate and drank overnight. admin oral medication. splint dry and intact. will continue to monitor for improvement. resting comfortably in kennel. 08/30/26 14:42 patient care update: bar, friendly, yes to e/d wet food only and yes to u/bm. patient being monitored for splint on the left front limb, currently intact and eating being monitored for possible lower lip jaw injury. currently has sutured on lower mandible in place. last seen by dvm on 8/28, currently on gabapentin until 9/07 and simadol until 8/31. 08/31/26 13:30 Per ACT, pt eating and drinking, urine WNL, no vomit, BM 5/7 Fs. 08/31/26 10:58 ED well no discharge or drooling from mouth ok to move P to kennel splint change + mouth exam on 9.4.26 09/01/26 09:06 BAR, edu wnl, no bm.
