Sticky Keys has been noted to display arousal concerns, jumping up on handlers, pull very hard, and becoming mouthy. Sticky Keys due to his exorbitant behavior he has knocked handlers over while they were kneeling, tangling his leash on handlers legs, and one instance nipping handlers finger while jumping up which didn't break skin. In kennel, Sticky Keys has been obseved to spin, vocalize, bite his tail, and the top of the kennel. Sticky Keys is noted to be a sweet dog who loves to sniff around once in a calmer state. Medically, Sticky Keys is apparently healthy. Pop-Up Promo! ACC is over capacity, so I'm currently living in a pop-up crate. My adoption fee is waived, and my adoption comes with a $50 Chewy gift card. Meet Sticky Keys! Sticky Keys may have been abandoned in Central Park, but he's ready to find a place he can finally call home. He's a moderately social guy who enjoys checking out his surroundings and will happily seek out attention from people once he feels comfortable. He's still learning to trust new experiences, so he'll do best with someone who can give him time, patience, and plenty of positive encouragement. My Ideal Home Sticky Keys would do best with an adult adopter who can help him build confidence at his own pace. He'll need daily physical and mental enrichment, along with force free, reward based training. Food puzzles, long lasting chews, sniffy walks, and other fun activities will help keep his mind busy and his tail wagging. Good with Other Pets? Sticky Keys' interactions with other dogs have been a little complicated, and he can become tense and overwhelmed during play. For now, ACC recommends no dog parks and carefully managed introductions with other dogs. His new family can help him build positive associations with other dogs in a calm, controlled setting. Good with Kids? Because Sticky Keys can be fearful and uncomfortable with handling, ACC recommends an adult only home at this time. Things to Know Sticky Keys is still learning that the world can be a safe place. He may flinch or become uncomfortable with handling, so it's important to let him choose when he's ready for interaction. With patience, consistency, and plenty of positive reinforcement, this sweet boy can start putting the right pieces together and discover what life is like with a family of his own.
