Honey Bee

Honey Bee is an adoptable male Boxer looking for a home at San Antonio Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas. He is a young adult and medium in size. He is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list and today is the last day, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Honey Bee, or even sharing his story, could save a life before it's too late.

Evaluation Notes: Small Group Dog is reactive toward dogs in kennel by barking with a tense body, wide eyes, pinned ears and a high wagging tail. She displays sociability with me by coming over to greet with a loose body and a wagging tail and is easy to leash and walk outside where she is seemingly house trained. She displays sociability with male and female dogs observed with by greeting and coexisting with a tense body, wide eyes with dilated pupils and a wagging tail where she is most interested in sniffing in training area. As a male dog initiates play with her, A796602 communicates for space with a tense body, wide eyes with dilated pupils, raised hackles and a high wagging tail. This male dog respects her communications and walks away where A796602 follows after him, growling and barking with an aligned body, frontal weight distribution, wide eyes with dilated pupils, pinned ears and a high wagging tail. She is not easy to redirect and her leash is secured to interrupt her. She is easy to return to kennel where she is not interested in entering kennel initially, staring up at me with a tense body, wide eyes with dilated pupils, pinned ears and a low tail. After a few moments, she enters kennel and leash is easy to remove.
