Luna

Luna is an adoptable female Pit Bull Terrier looking for a home at The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is fully grown and large in size. She is listed on the shelter's euthanasia list, listed due to behavior, and that date has now passed. Shelters often move these dates, so Luna may still be waiting. The shelter can confirm.

Luna is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. Luna is declining in playgroup. She is erratic, assertive, and challenging to other dogs. She has a history of showing negative behaviors with other dogs but has shown some improvement up until now. She has been working with the behavior team to work on her playgroup manners while being muzzled. The muzzle has lowered her erratic impulse behaviors but does continue to be assertive and challenging. Due to her behaviors and lack of steering she needs out of the shelter to be able to decompress. We do believe if given the proper time, patience, and training she can work through these behaviors. She is a very sweet and a fun girl who loves treats and toys. She needs out of the shelter. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation.
