Victra

Victra is an adoptable female American Bulldog looking for a home at BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas. She is fully grown and medium in size. She is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list with only 3 days left, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Victra, or even sharing her story, could save a life before it's too late.

Located At: BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions Description: My name is Victra. I am a female, tan Bulldog mix. Age: The shelter staff think I am about 5 years old. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Sep 02, 2026. I am in kennel DA17. Weight: 44.6 lbs Intake date: 9/2/2026 A ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Victra is Heartworm NEGATIVE and has a puncture wound near her left ear and significant inflammation, scaling, discharge and dark debris in both ears. She was diagnosed with bilateral otitis externa (ear infections). -Carprofen/Rimadyl 75 mg once daily x7 days -Vet recommends sedation to thoroughly clean her ears and apply Claro to both ears -DA2PP-V, Bordetella & -Rabies vaccines given Dewormed and given preventatives ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: Victra has been ready and eager to leave her kennel. She walked to the runs with a neutral body and high tail while holding a semi-tight leash. Once in the run, she vocalized when staff walked away, but she walked both to and from the runs without any issues. Despite being uncomfortable from her ears and wound, Victra has been manageable for staff and clearly enjoys getting out of her kennel.
