Thor is an adoptable male American Staffordshire Terrier looking for a home at Dallas Animal Services in Dallas, Texas. He is still very young and medium in size. He is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list with just one day left, listed due to medical. Adopting Thor, or even sharing his story, could save a life before it's too late.

Thor is a male dog who has sustained a fractured mandible (jaw) that will require surgical repair. Without prompt surgical intervention, he is at risk for ongoing pain, difficulty eating, worsening injury, and additional complications. Surgical repair is recommended to stabilize the fracture, relieve his discomfort, and support proper healing and function. This level of specialized surgical care and postoperative recovery support exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. Despite his injury, Thor remains resilient and is doing his best while receiving supportive care. Thor needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive immediate veterinary evaluation, surgical repair of his fractured mandible, and appropriate postoperative care to restore his comfort and give him the best chance for a successful recovery. This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter.
