Meet Godiva ' Sweet, Curious & Ready for an Adventure! โจ๐ซ If you're looking for something sweet, may we suggest Godiva? She may not come wrapped in chocolate, but this 2-year-old girl is pretty delightful all on her own. ๐ Godiva arrived as a stray on July 28 quite underweight. She's now 39.2 pounds and is on a feeding management plan to help her reach a healthier weight. She has bright eyes, a lovely personality, and a curious nature that made her recent Dog Day Out especially fun. ๐ฅฐ ๐ Sweet and Easygoing: Godiva was picked up for a power-hour break from Prince George's County Animal Shelter, and she was a wonderful little adventure buddy. She hopped right into the car like she'd done it a hundred times before, settled in quietly, and enjoyed watching the world go by through the windows. ๐๐พ ๐ฅฐ Curious Explorer: Godiva headed to a farm in search of some shade and had plenty to investigate. She was fascinated by the horses and cows, sniffing and watching them from a distance. ๐ด๐ฎ One curious cow decided to return the favor and came closer for a sniff of their own. Godiva was perfectly fine with the introduction...until she remembered just how BIG cows are. ๐ She decided some quiet time in the grass was a better idea and treated us to an adorable sploot! ๐ฅน๐ ๐ง Learning more about her: Godiva has an easygoing presence that made the outing a pleasure. Her preferences with other dogs are still TBD, as she hasn't participated in playgroup yet, but her sniffs and tail wags when meeting dogs through the fence are a hopeful sign. ๐พ ๐ก The right fit: There's something wonderfully easy about spending time with Godiva. She's curious without being overwhelming, sweet without demanding attention, and happy to simply be along for the ride. โค๏ธ Godiva has so much potential and deserves the chance to continue growing stronger, healthier, and more confident in a loving home. Please don't let this sweet girl spend another day waiting for her chance. ๐๐พ ๐ฅ Godiva's Reel: Located At: Prince Georges County Animal Services Division Description: Shelter staff named me Godiva.
