Evaluation Comments (Observations from our staff and volunteers) 9/1/2026 Day 1: During AM walk through, handler observed that K-9 did not eat 1/2 of kibble offered. K-9 was quietly laying down in front of kennel door. 8/29/2026 Dog didn't eat wet+dry food. Dog laying on the floor.(Day 1) 8/24/2026 Did not eat Day 2, active in kennel moving around came up to kennel door refused treat. 8/23/2026 dog didnt eat kibble mixed with wet food 8/20/2026 DNE day one, barking, tail wagging. 8/16/2026 day 1; dog didnt eat kibble, was seen standing at the kennel door 8/12/2026 At front of kennel with wagging soft tail, soft body, came forward to accept treats gently. Head shy with leash placement but would come forward when handler knelt down, no issues placing large loop over dogs head. Walked with slow, easy leash pull, startled by reactive dogs in passing and will flinch/walk closer to handler, will sniff neutral dogs with some flagged tail but disengages quickly, no issues walking to small play yard. In yard dog would follow handler to chair with soft body, some flagged tail but softened when offered treats, accepted treats gently and would accept pets on head, began laying underneath handlers chair with soft body. Would explore around yard with neutral body, some flagged tail, startled by activities outside of yard, will come to handler if handler kneels down and attempts to lay underneath handler, soft bodied and accepting of pets throughout. Easy, slow leash pull back to kennel, more startled by reactive dogs, hesitant to enter kennel but followed handler into kennel, attempted to lightly push out of kennel but settled, allowed handler to remove leash by hand. *Interested parties should be counseled about proper decompression and slow intros.* 8/11/2026 Timid, came forward to sniff handler with neutral soft body. Needs full evaluation based on intake memo. 8/8/2026 Dog did not eat, low head shaking 8/7/2026 Came up and laid down at ACO feet. Allowed all petting and easy leash placement. Did not walk on leash.
