Sasha is an adoptable female German Shepherd looking for a home at Los Angeles County - Downey in Downey, California. She is fully grown and large in size. She allowed the handlers to pet her. She did not engage in play with the other dogs, but was able to coexist nicely in a group of calm dogs. Sasha is tolerant of the other dogs, has a medium energy level, and does not have a playstyle at this time. She approached the handler with a timid demeanor, and allowed the handler to pet her head, neck, and back with no issues. The handler was able to check her ears and teeth. Her mouth closed and her body tensed slightly when the handler touched her legs and abdomen. However, she did not growl or try to bite, and remained easy to handle. Once the assessment was over, she stayed near the handler and continued to solicit petting. Sasha was lying down with a tense body, hunched posture, concerned eyes, and a closed mouth. She retreated to the back of the kennel when the runner presented the leash. The runner stepped into the kennel, and was able to slowly drape the leash over her head. She walked slowly behind the runner, and was nervous with collaring. The runner moved slowly, and was able to collar her with no issues. In the catch pen, her body was neutral. She entered the yard, and bypassed the other dogs without greeting them. She roamed the yard with a slightly tense body, but gradually relaxed as she spent more time in the yard. She eventually greeted the other dogs while maintaining a neutral body.
