Slowly came forward with head lowered, ears pinned back & whale eyed. Opened kennel door to present leash, dog would attempt to push out of gate. Able to quickly use large loop leash. Walked with a strong pull on leash to main PY while keeping tail tucked under body. Would attempt to fence fight @ back half of \"D\" building, able to use leash to guide dog away from making contact of kennel gates as dog would continue to growl with curled lips. Once in main PY, dog would do a shake off of body then explore with tail slightly tucked under body, sniffing nose to ground. Would not be interested in treats or toys. Would start to pace then stand @ corner of PY gate, flagged tail while raising hackles & low growling towards nearby kennels of \"C\" building. Handler would clap hands to help get attention of dog, dog would look towards handler & continue to pace along fence line while keeping tail flagged. Handler would scatter treats on green turf as dog would pass by, would sniff treats but not eat them. Walked towards water pool & started to sniff rocks while keeping tail flagged. Handler would approach dog slowly, dog would pin ears back, keep tail flagged, become whale eyed & lick lips. Handler went to reach for leash, dog would start to low growl then walk away as handler took a step back. Handler was able to pick up leash, slowly attached a clip leash then walked to PY gate. Slowly extended hand to pet on head prior to opening PY gate, dog would start to low growl again while lowering head, handler would removed hands & proceeded to walk out of PY. Dog would attempt to fence fight while walking past reactive dogs in \"D\" building again, continued to use leash to help guide dog away from fences. Would enter into kennel on own, removed leash with use of clip leash. 9/8/2026 Dog was at front of kennel; rounded body; lowered head; slowly crouched at front of kennel; tossed treats; dog remained at front; slowly closed divider; dog retreated to back of kennel; came back forward; attempted to place leash over head; flinched; tried again; leashed; dog exited; moderate to hard pull; startled by reactive dogs; pushed into middle buidling barrier; exited building; moderate pull; ears back; walked past kennels; pulled towards kennels; briefly fence fought; entered yard. Picked leash up; exited; hackles became raised when walking past kennels; entered building; tense body; pulled towards kennels; briefly fence fought; used light leash pressure; continued walking; entered kennel; allowed for leash removal. 9/5/2026 Dog did not eat vocal in back of kennel refused tossed treat. 9/4/2026 stiff body, trembling, wide eyed, head low, allowed some petting, not seeking any attention, some hard stares a few times, allowed restraint vaccinations given, walked to kennel Name: Eldredge Animal ID: A5171146 Breed: BLACK/WHITE BORDER COLLIE/MIX Sex: Male Age: 2Y 0M Weight: 56.8 lbs Kennel: West Kennel, Wing E - 155 Intake Date: 9/4/2026 Deadline Date: 9/16/2026
