Meet Russ ' a 3-year-old, 46 lb American Pit Bull Terrier who has been waiting at the shelter since 8/11. ?? Like many shelter dogs, Russ is stressed in the shelter environment, and we desperately want people to remember that the shelter is not where he can truly show us who he is. Despite all the stress, Russ is still an incredibly sweet boy who is easy to leash and happy to get outside. He potties outside right away and is working on his leash manners ' especially when he gets excited. Russ is a picky treat guy, but enjoys exploring, soaking up the sun and affection. He knows 'sit' and is eager to be around his people. Russ has demonstrated a rough and tumble play style, which may be fueled by his shelter stress or may just be his preference.
