ID #A2094696 Female | 9-month-old puppy Staffordshire Mix | Brown Merle Weight: 46 LBS Intake: 9/12/26 Status: RESCUE ONLY ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Petunia was medically noted as NORMAL at intake. She tested heartworm negative and received DA2PP, Bordetella and rabies vaccines, deworming, pyrantel and Advantage Multi. ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: Petunia is a terrified 9-month-old puppy who appears overwhelmed by the shelter. She has been observed pressed against the kennel wall or hiding in a corner with a tense, crouched body, low head, tucked tail and shaking. But there are already glimpses of the puppy underneath all that fear. When a staff member quietly entered her kennel, crouched beside her and softly talked to her, Petunia slowly came forward to sniff, allowed herself to be petted and was described as very gentle. By 9/15, she even started to slightly wag her tail when spoken to sweetly. She was also able to slowly walk out of her kennel.
