While in care, Brucie has been observed to be fearful. Noted to headwhip, snap, thrash, and balk when returning to kennel. Recently Brucie has also been observed to be reactive while on leash. Noted to fixate on people and pull towards them while on the street. This behavior is not easily redirected. With familiar handlers, Brucie allows petting and has a neutral body. Medically, Brucie has CIRDC, mild-moderate dental disease, is overweight, and has a wound. Brucie arrived at MACC as a stray with no known history. He was reported to be friendly and soliciting pets. Brucie has been observed to be neutral and aloof outside of the kennel. While in care, he has displayed repeated thrashing and balking when returned to the kennel. During a recent return, Brucie snapped at the leash and bit a hook used to remove it. Due to the detailed behavior, we recommend an experienced adult only home.
