Tessa is an adoptable female German Shepherd looking for a home at Riverside County Animal Services-Riverside in Jurupa Valley, California. She is a young adult and medium in size. STAFF OBSERVATIONS 06/05/26 18:21 timid, trembling upon approach. Dog approached handler after soft coaxing. 06/11/26 Dog participated in playgroup today. Dog was observed tolerating greetings and presenting unsocialized, fearful, exit seeking, awkward, and minorly playful behaviors with other dogs in playgroup. Dog was also observed giving corrections and over correcting. 06/18/26 Dog participated in playgroup. 06/30/26 Dog participated in single session enrichment with kennel mate today. 07/17/26 Dog participated in playgroup style today. 07/29/26 Dog participated in playgroup. slightly defensive in yard with one dog in particular which resulted in early exit 08/11/26 Dog participated in playgroup style today. Dog was observed presenting offensive behaviors with several dogs as she walked in. Dog was removed to side yard to do enrichment with kennel mate. 08/20/26 Dog participated in single session enrichment with kennel mate today. 09/15/26 Dog appears to be declining in shelter environment. Dog lunges at kennel door when handler walks by and alarm barks throughout observation. Per DVm, Sedation given @11:50am Clipped and clean radiographs 2V Simbadol and Carprofen inj. convenia given. RVT VE Reversal given 12:11 pm Start on Doxy due to OU discharge per protocol. Carprofen PO x 3 days Gabapentin PO BID x 10 days. DVM to add notes. 07/14/26 17:41 Pt BAR, mild to moderate swelling of proximal to right carpus, mild ocular and nasal discharge present, no boney abnormalities on radiographs, no joint involvement, suspect cellulitis secondary to bite wounds vs trauma from kennel, gave convenia inj PP, rx gabapentin x10d, carprofen x5d and doxy x 10d PP. Recheck in 7d.
