She was easy to leash and remove from the kennel, trailed behind the runner with a tucked tail and a nervous demeanor, and was easy to collar. In the catch pen, her body was tense. She began to lunge and muzzle punch the fence. She was muzzled prior to entering the yard for the safety of the other dogs. She entered the yard with a tense body. She did not greet the other dogs, and immediately over-reacted when the dogs tried to greet her. She growled, lunged, and tried to fight with the other dogs. She was easy to correct with the shake can or Pet Corrector when necessary. However, she would quickly try to re-engage anytime the dogs were near her. She was highly defensive, and did not want the other dogs near her. She was moved to the side yard to spend some time by herself before the handling assessment began. Flower is highly defensive with the other dogs, has a medium energy level, and does not have a playstyle at this time. Flower was already in the side yard when the handler decided to begin the handling assessment. She was given a few moments to decompress before the handler entered the yard. She roamed the yard with a neutral body, keeping her distance from the handler. The handler was able to gently restrain her with the leash, and the muzzle was removed. She stood next to the handler with a neutral body, concerned eyes with furrowed brows, a heavy pant, and a low tail. She was nervous but allowed the handler to pet her whole body with no issues. She did not solicit petting from the handler, but remained easy to handle throughout the entire assessment. When the assessment was over, she was easily returned to the kennel.
