Maddie is an adoptable female Siberian Husky looking for a home at The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is fully grown and x-large in size. She is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list with only 3 days left, listed due to medical. Adopting Maddie, or even sharing her story, could save a life before it's too late.

Maddie is currently working on a health journey to trim down and get back to feeling her absolute best. Despite her current size, she is remarkably calm and well-behaved. On lead, she moves easily in and out of her kennel, handles effortlessly, and walks very nicely at her own relaxed pace. She is also polite and non-reactive when greeting other dogs through the fence, showing a steady, friendly demeanor. This clever girl loves her treats, takes food with a soft mouth, and already knows basic cues like sit! In the yard, Maddie enjoys exploring, quietly taking in her surroundings, and relaxing near her human friends while soaking up gentle pets and soft affection. Maddie will make a wonderfully loyal companion for a patient family ready to support her with a healthy diet, a light exercise routine, and plenty of love. My Special Considerations This girl has been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism can be very difficult to regulate in a shelter setting. She is looking for placement by 9/24/26 3pm. Additionally, this dog was diagnosed with an infectious respiratory disease and needs to be isolated from other dogs through 9/24/26 while being treated. Since this dog is contagious to other dogs, they are not eligible for meet and greets but they are still available for adoption and foster!
