Bruno

Bruno is an adoptable male Australian Kelpie looking for a home at Dallas Animal Services in Dallas, Texas. He is a young adult and large in size. Bruno is a male dog who presented bright, alert, and responsive (BAR) with lameness affecting his left rear leg. Hip dysplasia is a concern, and a cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) injury cannot be ruled out. Bruno requires prompt veterinary evaluation, diagnostic imaging, and appropriate orthopedic assessment to determine the underlying cause of his lameness and develop an appropriate treatment plan. Without timely evaluation and treatment, he may experience ongoing pain, impaired mobility, and worsening orthopedic complications. This level of specialized orthopedic care exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. Despite his condition, Bruno remains resilient and is doing his best while receiving supportive care. Bruno needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive prompt veterinary evaluation, diagnostic imaging, orthopedic consultation, and appropriate treatment and recovery care to improve his comfort and mobility.
