Livi

Livi is an adoptable female Retriever looking for a home at San Antonio Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas. She is a young adult and medium in size. She is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list and today is the last day, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Livi, or even sharing her story, could save a life before it's too late.

Evaluation Notes: 09/23/2026 - Small cohouse interaction. She walked into the yard with a tucked tail, raised hackles, and tense body while allowing the other dogs to greet her. She is seemingly conflicted by retreating away and engaging in play intermittently. She is unable to adjust and stays near the fence with a tucked tail for the remainder of the interaction. Web Notes: Onyx went on a Shelter Paws! From the Chaperone: Went to park for walk and jog.she is willing to learn. Recommend a long leash for play time so she can play and have room since she can't be in a dog park. Good with car rides and kids. Wants to play and learn. Very treat motivated so can be trained by new family quick. Not sure how she will do with dogs. Maybe see how she reacts to shelter dogs when doing walks at the shelter.
