He entered the play yard with soft body language. He was approached by a male husky and exchanged a soft greeting with him. He then approached a female shepherd that was laying down and greeted her softly, then began licking her head. After this, he began to roam the yard and explore. He was tolerant of dogs trailing him to sniff him. He continued to roam the yard and exchange soft greetings with the other dogs. He remained calm and social for the rest of his time in the yard, but he appeared more comfortable around the calmer dogs. There were dogs playing dunng his time in the yard, but he did not engage in or entice any play. He would approach the handlers and seek affection. He is social with the other dogs, but he displayed no play style at this time and may do best with a calmer dog. See handling assessment for further evaluation. The handler knelt and called to him. He approached with soft body language and began seeking affection. He allowed the handler to pet his head, but he can be a little head shy at first. He allowed the handler to check his teeth with no reaction. He allowed the handler to check his ears with no reaction. He allowed the handler to touch and lift all his paws with no reaction. He allowed the handler to touch his tail without issue. He displayed no negative or conceming behavior toward the handler. After the handling, he continued to seek affection and began to lick the handler's am. He was retumed to his kennel without issue.
