Heartworm test negative. She received DA2PP, Bordetella and rabies vaccines, Advantage Multi and pyrantel dewormer. No significant medical problems were documented. Puppies: All eight are neonatal/underage and extremely small, weighing only 1.1'1.7 lbs. Their medical records classify them as immature. ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: Toriel is very timid and frightened in the shelter environment. Intake notes describe her as not leash trained. She has continued to avoid handlers, attempt to escape and thrash on leash when being moved. This appears to be a scared mother trying to cope with an overwhelming shelter environment while caring for eight newborn babies. She needs an experienced rescue able to give this family a quiet, secure place to decompress. The puppies are neonates and completely dependent on their mother.
