A dog's behavior in an Animal Care Center may differ significantly from how they behave in a home. Stress, confinement, and unfamiliar surroundings can cause dogs to act out or suppress behaviors that may emerge later. A dog's behavior may change based on surroundings, training, medical, socialization, and life experiences.' Hader A5802102 was at the front of the kennel when the runner approached him, he barked, growled, his body was tense and his pupils were dilated with concerned eyes. He retrieved to the back of the kennel, the runner coaxed him and presented his leash to him, he slowly walked back to him, he allowed the runner to leash him and walked nervously through the kennels. In the catch pen when he was introduced to the dogs his body was neutral, his eyes were alert, his mouth was closed and his tail was neutral with no wag. He was slightly nervous to be collared and leashed. He entered the yard and began exploring. He sniffed the dogs. He roamed the yard quietly. He was interested in the dogs. He kept his distance from the handlers. He attempted to mount some of the dogs, but he was easy to correct. He was able to co-exist with the dogs.
