Baby

Baby is an adoptable female Chihuahua looking for a home at San Antonio Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas. She is fully grown and small in size. She is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list and today is the last day, listed due to lack of space. Adopting Baby, or even sharing her story, could save a life before it's too late.

Evaluation Notes: 10/05/2026 - 1 of 6 in kennel Kennel Presentation: Dog is laying in corner of kennel upon approach with a tense and trembling body, wide eyes, pinned ears and a tucked tail. She remains in this position, hiding behind kennel mates with same body language where she is not interested in treats offered to her and attempts to retreat further away from me as I offer her treats by hand. She allows me to place a bandana on her where she quickly retreats. As the bandana is being removed, she opens her mouth and then backs out quicky. She is given space.
