Trina A5804180 (Intact) stood tense and alert at the front of the kennel when the runner arrived. However, she allowed herself to be retrieved without issue and exited the kennel on her own. Trina proceeded to lead the way with a strong pull on the leash, bypassing her neighboring kennels. Once inside the catch pen, Trina became reactive at the barrier, barking and growling at the dogs behind the fence. She became slightly tense and fully focused on the handler who attempted to deter her reactive behavior with the use of a tool. She was allowed to settle before the runner placed a collar and leash on Trina, requiring firm leash control as she paced energetically during placement. She was then allowed into the yard, where she showed little interest in the other dogs, preferring to explore the environment while exhibiting a neutral posture. She later approached the handler who previously corrected her and solicited affection while jumping playfully. For the remainder of the session, Trina coexisted peacefully with everyone in the yard. Once the session concluded, Trina refused to enter the kennel on her own, responding by jumping to bite the leash. She was unresponsive to correction, requiring the runner to apply firm leash pressure to guide her inside the kennel. An experienced owner is highly recommended who can patiently work and manage Trina's leash-reactive behavior.
