Snoop

Snoop is an adoptable male Black Mouth Cur looking for a home at The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is fully grown and large in size. He is listed on the shelter's euthanasia list, listed due to behavior, and that date has now passed. Shelters often move these dates, so Snoop may still be waiting. The shelter can confirm.

Snoop is not adapting well to being in a kennel at the shelter and is displaying signs of kennel distress and anxiety. He is heavily fecal tracking, non stop demand barking, jumping on the door of his kennel and spilling his water. This animal would benefit from a calmer environment and training to be able to cope with changing environments and separation. This dog is working with our training team daily on leash skills, basic obedience, and good manners. Snoop is very interested in his training and eager to learn! He loves treats and picks up on new tasks quickly and with enthusiasm. He is energetic and playful, and would benefit from further training, socializing, and a home that can provide him with outlets for his energy as well as mental stimulation. This dog shows dog-selective behaviors, they get along well with some dogs, but not all. They may have preferences about which dogs they're comfortable around and can sometimes struggle to be socially appropriate with certain others. With ongoing training, supervision, and proper introductions, their interactions with other dogs can continue to improve. We recommend slow, structured introductions to new dogs to ensure positive experiences. This animal needs placement by 10/10 at 3 PM.Additionally, this dog was diagnosed with an infectious respiratory disease and needs to be isolated from other dogs through 10/18 while being treated.Since this dog is contagious to other dogs, they are not eligible for meet and greets but they are still available for adoption and foster!
