Jason A5798921ran to the front of the kennel when he noticed the handler, he barked at her, his body was tense, his tail was high with a fast stiff wag, his ears were alert and his pupils were dilated. The handler stepped into his kennel, he ran towards her then ran away, he hid in between his kennel mates (the divider wouldn't close). He ran away from the handler, the handler managed to safely slide the leash on him, he flailed and required gentle leash guidance to walk. He kept distance from the handler in the yard. He did displacement behavior to avoid the handler, he sniffed the turf and kept his nose on the ground to avoid making eye contact with the handler. He would side eye her when she pet him but pretended to be sniff the turf. He allowed the handler to pet him but he was uncomfortable, he whipped around when she pet his back and looked very concerned. He displayed no interest in the handler and kept as much distance from her as possible. Due to handling sensitivity BET recommends that Jason is rescue only.
