We do not know what happened to Story
The date this shelter listed for Story has passed. Shelters often push these dates back, and many pets are adopted or pulled by a rescue first, so Story may still be there. The shelter can tell you.
Story is an adoptable male Shepherd looking for a home at San Antonio Animal Care Services in San Antonio, Texas. He is a young adult and large in size. He is listed on the shelter's euthanasia list, listed due to lack of space, and that date has now passed. Shelters often move these dates, so Story may still be waiting. The shelter can confirm.
Evaluation Notes: 10/08/2026 - Kennel presentation at this time. Dog is standing at barrier of kennel where he is stressed with a trembling body, wide eyes, pinned ears and a low tail upon approach. He retreats slightly as I enter kennel and displays sociability with me by coming over to greet with a trembling body, wide eyes, pinned ears and a low tail where he is interested in treats offered to him and does not consume them. He allows brief handling with same body language where trembling increases.
