UPDATE 10/14: Foster cancelled. Extended to 10/17 at 11am CST UPDATE 10/13: Pending Foster ADOPT/RESCUE- NODAS MED - Needs placement by 10/13 at 11am CS Buck is a male dog who requires amputation of his left front limb (LF) due to a probable brachial plexus injury. This type of injury can cause significant nerve damage, loss of limb function, and ongoing discomfort. Surgical amputation is recommended to address his condition, prevent further complications, and improve his comfort and quality of life. This level of specialized surgical care and postoperative recovery support exceeds what we can consistently provide in the shelter environment. Despite his condition, Buck deserves a chance to receive the care he needs to move forward comfortably. He needs a safe, compassionate placement where he can receive prompt veterinary evaluation, the recommended limb amputation, and appropriate postoperative care and rehabilitation to support his recovery and adjustment. This pet is at risk for euthanasia due to the level of medical care required, which exceeds what we can provide in the shelter.
