Mark

Mark is an adoptable male Pit Bull Terrier looking for a home at Miami-Dade Animal Services in Doral, Florida. He is fully grown and medium in size. He is listed on the shelter's euthanasia list, listed due to behavior, and that date has now passed. Shelters often move these dates, so Mark may still be waiting. The shelter can confirm.

This dog urgently needs a rescue commitment. His pathway will be determined in five days, which may include an immediate deadline for euthanasia. Please share to help him find rescue by October 10. During an enrichment outing, he was easy to leash and walked nicely outside. In the play yard, he was friendly with handlers and came over for affection, though he showed signs of stress, including heavy panting and shaking. Returning to his kennel was harder. He hesitated at the entrance, and when a figure-eight leash was applied, he bit and tugged at the leash. He dropped it when the pressure was released. The shelter notes he may redirect when being returned to his kennel and is not treat-motivated. He is receiving veterinary care, and the shelter says he would benefit from rescue for the care he needs. An experienced rescue or handler may be able to help him decompress and work through the kennel-related stress. video A2819777 Animal Name: MARK Located At: Miami-Dade Animal Services Kennel Number: PSF04R Description: I am a neutered male, gray Pit Bull Terrier mix.
