Tommy is an adoptable male Labrador Retriever looking for a home at Palm Beach County Animal Care & Control in West Palm Beach, Florida. He is a young adult and medium in size. He is currently on the shelter's euthanasia list with just one day left, listed due to other. Adopting Tommy, or even sharing his story, could save a life before it's too late.

Intake Info: This dog was brought to the shelter by one of our officers who responded to a call from a caller who stated this dog wasn't theirs but had been coming to their house for 2 weeks. The dog was scanned, and no microchip was located. It was noted that the caller had this dog with her other small dogs in the house and did good. We named this sweet baby Tommy. Medical: Tommy is a 2 year old neutered male who weighs 68lbs.Tommy is UTD on vaccines & HW negative. Tommy is currently on treatment for CIRD, the following was noted on 10/16/26 during a vet exam - Worsening CIRD signs. Dog is eating and mildly depressed energy. Dog is huffing when active. Showing signs of lower airway disease (Bronchitis, possible pneumonia). Increasing level of supportive care and monitoring. Behaviors: Tommy has participate in playgroups - tommy socialized with Gigantor, Hooch and Hogie. Tommy playfully ran with Gigantor and Hogie. Staff Notes: Sweet boy, play bowed me, zoomed around. Loves pets and was leaning towards me for more. Request to Rescues: Tommy A2345783 is a sweet boy who in need of rescue as his medical needs exceed the capacity of care here at the shelter. Tommy will need to continue treatment with a private vet for possible bronchitis/ pneumonia. This super friendly boy needs a special home where he can get the treatment he needs while being surrounded by love and affection. Tommy is availble for rescue only due to his medical needs.
