Additional Info : Meet Tiki! This adorable girl is still trying to find her confidence in the shelter environment. She is very anxious with people right now and prefers to keep her distance rather than approach for attention. Leashing and walking are also difficult for her at this time, as she may back away, pull back, or avoid interaction when she feels unsure. Tiki needs patience and time to become comfortable rather than being pushed before she is ready. One place Tiki seems to find some confidence is around other dogs. She has been dog friendly in the shelter environment and was observed in a playgroup with three other dogs. While she never approached the person in the yard, she remained out with her canine companions, and their presence seems to help her navigate an environment that currently feels pretty scary. Tiki isn't ready to show us her whole personality yet, but with time, patience, and opportunities to build confidence, we hope to see more of this sweet girl emerge.
