Age: The shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 5 months old. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Sep 30, 2026. I am in kennel SOUTHA19. ID #A2096003 1-year, 5-month-old neutered male Staffordshire Mix | Black/White DOB: 5/1/2025 Weight: 46 lbs Intake Date: 9/30/2026 (First intake: 9/11/2026) This handsome young boy was first found roaming as a stray on September 11. He was reunited with his owner on September 16, but just two weeks later, on September 30, Horis was found as a stray AGAIN! This time, nobody came to take him home. ⸻ 🩺 MEDICAL NOTES: Horis is heartworm NEGATIVE and was neutered on September 15. His most recent medical examination was normal. He has received vaccinations, deworming, and parasite prevention. ⸻ 🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES: Horis has shown a wonderfully sweet side! Staff describe him as friendly, relaxed, and treat-motivated. He has greeted handlers with soft eyes, a wagging tail, and a wiggly body, walking nicely on a loose leash. One staff member described his adorable 'tappy toes' and bouncy steps! He has also enjoyed spending time outside and going potty in the grass. However, Horis can become timid and hesitant during walks, occasionally needing gentle encouragement. More recently, he has shown increasing reactivity toward other dogs, including barking and lunging through a fence. Covering his kennel sometimes helps him settle.
